Here are some of the questions we get asked the most. Although they cover the most general topics of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and our capabilities, you may have more job specific questions so please feel free to reach out to us by phone or email and we will be happy to provide you with answers and help you get more familiar with Air4.

Where Is Air4 Based?

Air4 is regionally located in the Metropolitan Washington, DC  / Baltimore, MD area. However we travel worldwide to service a growing and diverse number of Clients.

How Long Can You Fly?

There are many variables that affect flight times: Size and area of the project, weather conditions, payload, the UAV and camera we are using. We are equipped with multiple LIPO batteries and an advanced remote charging station, thus virtually eliminating any downtime for charging and ensuring maximum air time to get THE footage or shot.

How Far and High Can You Fly?

Further than we would care to find out, but typically we stay below the required 400 ft and within 200 yards of the Pilot.

Why Use an UAV Versus a Full Size Helicopter or Plane?

Simply put, Air4 is more nimble, more cost-effective, more accessible and safer. Our multi-rotor copters capture footage and still photographs in greater detail. We operate in spaces that a larger helicopter or general aviation aircraft cannot, putting the viewer right in the middle of the action.

How Much Do You Charge For Your Services?

Every flight is unique and we would be honored to discuss your specific needs and requirements during a FREE consultation. Please use the “Book Your Flight” button at the top to contact us.

Do You Work On Retainer?

Yes, we have “Frequent Flier Clients.” We enjoy partnering with Clients who have long term, ongoing needs so that we can plan and book our flights and shoots in advance. This allows us to negotiate a win/win cost structure that works within the framework of both the Client and Air4.

Can You Create Advertising Spots or Campaigns?

Absolutely. One of our partners is an award-winning creative director, art director, writer and former agency partner. Clients have included destinations, airlines, real estate companies, universities, pro sports teams and many other industries.

Can You Fly Indoors?

Yes. Safety is our top priority and we take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of others as well as the UAVs. Depending on the size and limitations of the space we can fly indoors, however this will be determined by a pre-flight scouting of the facility.
